Collection: Phaedra

Phaedra is a Vancouver-based contemporary painter whose work explores what we try not to see: the quiet, persistent truths beneath conscience and silence. Trained in fine arts and working primarily in oil, with occasional coloured pencil, her earlier work was rooted in realism before evolving into a surreal vocabulary of inner perception and denial. Through carefully staged, meditative compositions, she examines memory, identity, pain, and the fragile act of seeing. Each painting balances precise draftsmanship with atmospheric depth, holding the emotional weight that language cannot carry.
