Artist Statement
I am interested in what remains when everything unnecessary is removed. Silence. Space. The figure alone with itself. My paintings are not about what is shown — they are about what is felt in the gaps between what is shown. Acrylic gives me the immediacy I need to capture a moment before it becomes self-conscious.
