Buying Canadian art should feel like buying from a person, not a warehouse

Most "Canadian art" you find online is a print run, sold by a platform that never touched the work. We are the opposite. VanArtHub is a Vancouver gallery that sells original paintings by contemporary Canadian artists, one canvas at a time, packed and shipped from our own studio. What counts as original Canadian art?

When VanArtHub says "Canadian art," we mean an original painting made by an artist living and working in Canada. Our artists are contemporary independent painters based in Vancouver, on the west coast. They are not historical names from a museum wall, and we will not pretend otherwise. What you get is a living artist's current work, at a price a normal person can pay, with the artist's signature on the front and their name on the paperwork.

That honesty matters, because "Canadian" gets stretched a lot online. A poster printed in a Canadian warehouse is not Canadian art. A mass-produced canvas of a mountain, sold under a Canadian-sounding brand, is not Canadian art either. An original Canadian painting is a single object a Canadian artist painted by hand, and that is the only kind of work we sell.

Can I commission a custom Canadian painting?
