Every artist we sell has a page on this site with their background and the work we currently hold, and their sold pieces stay listed permanently instead of being deleted. That builds a visible record over time. The painters in this group, including Phaedra, Nahira, Marjan Mousavi and Melina Ghaemi, all have work shipping from our Vancouver studio, and we will put a question to any of them for you.

Yes, we will not sell a piece we believe is wrong for the wall a buyer has described, and we say so before taking the money. We also do not sell prints or reproductions of our paintings, so when a work is gone it is gone. The one exception across the site is fine art photography by a single photographer, sold as signed limited editions.

The same 14 days apply at every price, with a full refund and return shipping paid by us. For higher value work we ask you to keep the original crate and to send photographs of the piece before it travels back, which protects both sides if anything goes wrong in transit. Shipping is insured in both directions. The value of the piece never shortens or removes the trial.

Yes, ask us. We know the exact size we packed, so we can send you the same box to reuse, or pack the piece here at the Vancouver studio if you can drop it off. Removal companies wrap art in blankets, which is fine for a short drive and poor for a container. Never lay a stretched canvas flat with other boxes stacked on top of it.

No, our Lifetime Trade-Back gives store credit rather than cash. You can return any piece in good condition at any time and put it toward another work from us. We are a gallery, not a resale dealer, so we do not run an auction desk and we never promise a market price. If you want cash you would sell privately, and the Certificate of Authenticity goes with the piece.

Because a sold original is a permanent record, and deleting the page would erase the only public proof the work existed. Our sold archive keeps every piece online with its artist, title, size and medium, so collectors can trace an artist's output and an insurer can check a description years later. It also shows you honestly what has already been bought, and at what scale and price level.

Quiet luxury in art means the piece is expensive to make and cheap to notice: real materials, restrained colour, no gold logo, no obvious trend. It rewards the person who stands close. The opposite is art that shouts its price from the doorway. If a visitor asks who painted it rather than what it cost, the piece is working.

You should be paying for originality, materials, and provenance: a one-of-a-kind work, artist-grade paint on properly stretched canvas, and a Certificate of Authenticity that names the artist and the piece. A high price with none of those three is decoration in a costume. Check all three before the number persuades you.

A painting lasts when it is oil or artist-grade acrylic on cotton or linen canvas over a solid wood stretcher, with a proper gesso ground and a removable varnish. Student paint on thin board and stapled corners are what fail first. Ask what ground, what paint grade, and what varnish. Any serious artist can answer those questions immediately.

Provenance is the documented history of who made a work and who has owned it since, and it matters because it is the only thing that proves a painting is what the seller says. For living artists it is simple: a signed certificate, the gallery record, and the original invoice. Keep them together. Resale, insurance, and estates all depend on them.

Buy one large piece if the room has a clear main wall and you want a single focal point, and buy several smaller works if the walls are broken up by doors, windows, and furniture. One large canvas is easier to live with and usually cheaper per square centimetre than four small ones. Groups need matching frames or they read as clutter.

We pack high value work face-protected with acid-free tissue, then foam, then a rigid corner-braced box, or a wooden crate for anything over about 120 cm, and every shipment is fully insured with tracking. Canada takes 3 to 7 business days and the USA 5 to 10. Nothing leaves the studio without photographs of the piece and the packed crate.

Luxury art is a waste of money when you buy it to impress someone else, or buy it as an investment. No honest gallery will promise that a painting appreciates, and most do not. Buy it because you want to look at it every day for ten years. If that reason is missing, spend the money on lighting or furniture instead.
