Collection: Nahira

Nahira is a Vancouver-based artist who works primarily with acrylic, creating layered emotional spaces that blend figurative and abstract elements. Her paintings grow out of moments encountered in everyday life, scenes from film and theater, fragments of nature, and ordinary visual impressions, which she transforms into personal narratives intertwined with her inner responses.
She holds an M.A. in Painting, and much of her practice focuses on the subtle territory between perception and memory. Her themes emerge from fleeting impressions, intuitive associations, and the hidden connections she discovers between external events and emotional reactions. In her work, the boundary between figure and abstraction remains fluid: forms appear, dissolve, and reform within fields of color.
For Nahira, color functions as an emotional language that defines the tone and rhythm of each piece. Through layered textures and shifting forms, she invites the viewer into a visual experience where the outer world and inner reflection converge. She has recently begun sharing her artistic journey publicly through Instagram while continuing to shape her distinct visual voice.
